Where to get your free Thanksgiving meals

  • Springs Rescue Mission will offer a Thanksgiving meal for the community on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 5 W. Las Vegas St.

  • The Salvation Army serves free Thanksgiving meals from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on November 27 at four locations: 1. The Salvation Army, 908 Yuma Street, Colorado Springs; 2. Fountain Valley Senior Center, 5745 Southmoor Drive, Fountain; 3. Manitou Springs City Hall, 606 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs and 4. Woodland Park Nazarene Church, 900 Evergreen Heights Drive, Woodland Park. Call 719-636-3891 or visit coloradosprings.salvationarmy.org for more details.

  • Marian House Soup Kitchen offers a public meal on Thanksgiving Day from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at 14 W. Bijou St.

  • Mercy’s Gate provides Thanksgiving Meal Baskets. Registration ends November 15. Visit mercysgatecs.org to sign up.

  • The Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen is hosting a pre-Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday, November 26 with the help of volunteers and donations from the community. The turkey meal with all the trimmings is free and open to anyone who needs a warm meal and someone to talk to. The Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen is on West 7th Street, which is located a few blocks north of downtown Pueblo.
