Greenway and Associates Offers Trusted, Personal Health Insurance Guidance in Pueblo

Feb 05, 2026 02:09PM ● By Wendy Fairchild

When health insurance feels confusing and impersonal, Greenway and Associates in Pueblo offers a different approach—one built on clarity and relationships. By explaining the fine print and listening carefully, their agents help clients understand their options without pressure, unnecessary jargon or rushing through complex decisions.

Independent and community-based Greenway and Associates has offered group and individual health insurance plans in Colorado and surrounding states since 1985. Renee Greenway, 59, brings decades of insurance experience to the agency, and collectively, the team brings more than 50 years of experience serving clients.

While they serve clients of all ages, Greenway and Associates is especially committed to helping seniors navigate their options and find the insurance carriers that best meet their unique needs.

“Because we concentrate on health benefits, we have customers at every stage of life,” Greenway said. “We can move on with them as they age into Medicare or leave employment and have a need for an individual plan.”

LOCAL, PERSONAL, TRUSTED

Greenway and Associates has operated from their current office location at 631 Lake Avenue (corner of Adams and Lake Avenues) for approximately 25 years.

Clients may visit whenever they have questions or need assistance. Greenway happily caters to those who prefer face-to-face interactions over phone calls or emails.

“I love it because we have easy access to our customers throughout the year, and they can stop by whenever they like,” she said.

The agency offers medical, dental, vision and life insurance, providing comprehensive choices under one roof. Plans are tailored to age, income, marital status and changing healthcare needs.

“They’ve done a great job for us by helping to navigate the Medicare process,” said Glen Gomez, 66, a client of two years. “Renee will go over the plans to find the best one for you.”

Greenway said the personal touch is the best part of their business model.

“We really try to do one-on-one education with our clients to discuss the different types of plans available and the long-term implications of the plans they choose,” she said.

A Colorado native originally from Trinidad, Greenway has lived in Pueblo for more than 30 years. She is a proud mother of three and grandmother of two. She ran the business with her husband, Dave, for 25 years before his recent retirement and still works with daughter-in-law Ashley Greenway.

Additional support comes from agent Lois Gribben, with 22 years of industry knowledge. And receptionist Valerie Armijo creates a welcoming presence while connecting with clients.

Greenway is also deeply involved in the Pueblo community, serving on several boards and volunteering with nonprofit organizations like Colorado Bluesky Enterprises, for those with disabilities.

The agency has also hosted health fairs and provided wellness information for employees in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado.

Greenway has seen many individuals affected by changes to tax credits, rising premiums and fewer plan choices. She works closely with Connect for Health Colorado, Medicare and other programs to help clients find the right coverage. She remains hopeful that solutions will emerge to address tax credit concerns and preserve the enhanced benefits clients have come to rely on.

“I always say nobody ever grew up saying they wanted to be an insurance agent, but as you evolve in your career, you just appreciate how much you are helping people,” Greenway said. “Even on the tough days, that makes you love your job.”
